Front Lines Series Writing Competition

We’re looking to recruit some really thrilling entries for our creative writing competition. Can you apply a stroke of Michael Grant’s dark genius and take us to the front lines of terror?

In The Front Lines Series, Michael Grant reinvents history by including women in the draft. For the first time, women stand should to shoulder with men in battle. For many of these new recruits there is as much conflict to encounter behind battle lines as when under fire.

Prizes:

You (if you’re the author of the piece) could win a £150 National Book Token voucher
Your school could win the Electric Monkey Michael Grant backlist for your school library, including one copy of each of:

  • The Gone Series
  • The Front Lines Series
  • The Messenger of Fear Series
  • The BZRK Series
  • The Electric Monkey books published in 2016
  • As well as 30 copies of Front Lines book 1 to use to help teach the book in class

Location: Entries are accepted from UK residents only

Timing: The competition closes on midnight on Sunday 11th June 2017

  • The writing competition piece must be completed by school pupils who are currently in KS3 or KS4.
  • If you are 14 or over you will need your parent or guardian’s permission to enter.
  • If you are under 14, please get your parent or guardian to enter on your behalf.
